Frequently Asked Breeding Questions

  1. I need help choosing the best stallion match for my mare, can you help?

    • We are happy to assess your mare and foal goals to make a recommendation.  If you would like help matching your mare with a stallion please complete our “Mare Matching Form” found under the “Match My Mare” tab on our website.  Their is no charge for this service.

  2. How do I secure a place in a Stallions Book?

    • You may reserve a booking to any stallion by filling out and sending a breeding contract with payment of a $400 nonrefundable booking fee. The booking fee is included in the total breeding fee not in addition to.

  3. When do I send in a breeding contract?

    • As soon as you purchase your breeding please email or mail us a copy of a signed breeding contract filled out completely.  We must have a contract on file before shipping semen.

  4. Are there any discounts available?

    • 50% off our posted breeding fees on breeding's to any mares who were sired by the stallions Baron Van Gogh, Escudo II, Fuerst Gotthard, Graff Top II, Grandom, Kalypso, Landfriese II, Landkönig, Pablito, Pablo, Rubignon, Relevantus, Lord Adonis, Don Roncalli and Wild Dance.

    • Early booking discounts are available as well as repeat breeders, multiple mares and performance mares.

  5. What forms of payment do you accept?

    • We accept cash, check, Venmo or credit card.  Breeding’s may be paid for directly on our website as well.

  6. How do I request a semen shipment?

    • To request a semen shipment please only call or text Edgar at 916-203-2247. 

  7. Confirmed in foal?

    • Once your mare is confirmed in foal please let us know and we will be sure to send your breeding certificates to you or the relevant breed registries.

  8. Mare loses foal?

    • If your mare does not maintain her pregnancy or the foal does not survive for any reason please let us know so we may rebook her.

  9. How do I have my mare tested for WFFS?                                                                                                                          WFFS testing options are the least expensive through your horse's breed registry if their hair is on file.                           Hanoverian or Rhineland Mares (registered with the AHS/ARS) : http://hanoverian.org.                                              Oldenburg NA/ISR Mares http://www.isroldenburg.org/Docs/Services/WFFS.pdf.  Other registries are offering testing in addition to the above.  You may also contact the UCDavis lab directly: https://www.vgl.ucdavis.edu/services/horse/WFFS.php and send in a hair sample in with their form.
