16.2H, bay Hanoverian stallion.
Pablito is a modern type, 16.2H dark bay Elite Hanoverian stallion by Pablo (Pilot) / Arsenik (Absatz) / Steinhager (Steinpilz xx). Pablito comes from proven performance horse lineage, sire, Pablo -HLP, was reserve Champion premium stallion with 52 Grand Prix offspring and 16 licensed son’s- and through his Grand Prix jumping mother dam sire, Arsenik (HLP Champion), who is not present in the bloodlines of any other Hanoverian licensed stallion in the US.
The “2000” European stallion champion descends from Pilot as well.
Pablito’s sire, Pablo, also a producer of excellent jumpers as well as dressage horses. Pablo was reserve champion of his 100 day test and qualified for the Bundeschampionat twice. His breeding value and performance index shows he produces correctness and a modern type with both jumping and dressage talent competing successfully through the international FEI level. Pablo frozen semen available.
Pablito’s dam sire, Arsenik was a producer of grand prix jumpers and his great Absatz type. Pablito’s type, jumping ability and rideability is deeply engrained on both sides of his pedigree.
Pablito possesses the jumping style and desire of his famous grand sire Pilot, youngest millionaire ever through progeny winnings in German history. Pablito combines the correct conformation, movement and rideability of his sire Pablo with the athletic ability and great type of his dam sire Arsenik (Absatz) and great dam sire Steinhager (Steinpilz xx), also a grand prix producer. His temperament is a dream!
Amsella, Pablito’s dam, Grand Prix jumper and full sister to the successful Grand Prix jumper Aerobic 3 is an example of the proven breeding of Arsenik with Steinhager mares. This has produced many excellent Grand Prix horses amongst others: Abrazzo 3, Asra 4 and Aerobic 3.
Pablito was in the top of his age group at his 100 day test in Adelheidsdorf, showing his versatility by being even higher on the index for rideability than jumping. Pablito scored 8’s for character, temperament, willingness to work and ability to work. As a 4 year old Pablito stood out by placing and winning in several 4 yr. old stallion jumping competitions in Germany.
Pablito’s very popular sire Pablo was vice champion of 53 stallions at his 100 day test with 136.22 points, he scored 9’s in 5 categories with very high scores in the dressage index(2nd) as well as the jumping index(3rd). After his test he was successfully shown in the federal championships and won intermediate show jumping competition. He is a stunning modern type horse with great movement, jumping ability and great rideability.
Pablo’s dam sire Matrox who died after only 3 seasons was sired by well known producer of sport horses Matrose and is out of Weinschenke, full sister to world famous sire of show jumpers Watzman who in turn produced such stallions as Windus, Warkant and the famous Waltzerkonig (Franke Sloothaak). Further back is “Lancelot”, superior dressage horse producer of the state of Dillenburg. His great, great grandsire was Usurpator xx, sire of Rodney the stallion who won the 1990 Nations Cup in Aachen and producer of many other outstanding show jumpers.
Pablo’s sire Pilot became the youngest Progeny winnings millionaire in German history. He produced top international show jumpers with unusual regularity. So far his offspring have won over 5.5 million DM. He is currently ranked third in the world for progeny winnings next to his half brother Polydor. Pilot’s son P.S. Priamos won more price money than any other show jumper last year. 196 of Pilot’s offspring were successful at Grand Prix level.
Pablo’s damsire “Arsenik” was the champion of his 100 day test and son of the famous Absatz, the best sire of conformation for the Hanoverian area if not for all of Germany. Being the Sire of 142 Verden Elite lots he definitely had the right name (“Absatz”= sales). On the dam side Arsenik goes back to Sender by Senator, a handsome stallion of such excellent type, seldom seen in the mid 50’s, producer of 40 approved son’s and mostly show jumpers. Although Absatz was gifted for dressage, Arsenik had the ability to stamp his sires type and also produced many great Grand Prix jumpers. In 1985 Arsenik had the highest selling offspring in the Verden Elite auction, Alpenherr, with a knock down price of DM 130,000. Adios III was a popular Arsenik son who stood in the US until recently.
Steinhaeger one of four son’s of the highly regarded Steinpilz xx produced tough jumping horses. Especially Steinhaeger gave his sire’s valuable show jumping genes to his progeny. The powerful Thoroughbred Steinpilz xx stands for toughness and stamina and appears on the dam side of many very successful performance horses.
The quality of performance, type and the size is consistent throughout Pablito’s entire pedigree. Pablito’s progeny indicates that he passes these traits on. Pablito will fulfill your high expectations, producing excellence and type with your mares!
Pablito is licensed and approved for Hanoverian breeding (VHW & AHS), GOV, Oldenburg/ISR, CWHBA and approved by SWANA for Swedish mares.

Pablito 1994-2018 (Pablo/Amsella/Arsenik)
It is with heavy heart that I announce the loss of my stallion, Pablito, who passed away at the age of 24.
When Pablito came to the US he was the only Pablo son in North America. Pablito was found for me by Dr. Ludwig Christmann, Hanoverian Verband Deputy Breeding Director at the time. Dr. Ludwig and I thought he might be a good choice to follow in Kalypso's footsteps with his pretty type and versatility. Pablito produced correct conformation and a lighter more elegant type with heavier mares. Pablito became a producer of many successful horses, especially eventers. Because of his nice movement and type he was chosen for many heavier dressage mares as well. Pablito produced many '8' conformation scores and more premium foals than any of my other stallions.
The Hanoverian Verband’s past Vice President and stallion raiser, Hans Heinrich Bruening, bought a Pablito colt from his first crop. Pablito holds the record for producing the only mare, a premium mare called, Passion, to receive scores of all 10's for jumping from all of the judges for her performance test with Oldenburg NA. He also produced the overall highest scoring mare in the USA one year and many breed show winners and champions. One of the first fillies I produced with him was Elite Mare Ping Pong, out of my Kalypso mare, Knobody's Fool, who after becoming Elite Mare had a very notable career as an eventer winning several international 3 star events with her owner/rider Julie Flatner. They were featured in several Chronicle of the Horse articles. Pierre, bred by Sandy Campbell, was eventing and listed for the Pan Am games with Ally Slusher, featured on the AHS Directory cover and a Warmblood’s Today magazine cover. Other notable offspring include, Bella Patriot whowon her first FEI event and Peacemaker R who was leading the nation in the preliminary division. Powell, bred by Ilona English is winning national titles at the highest levels with Ryan Wood. Pharaoh R was multiple winner of the 5 yr old jumper classic at The Oaks and in 2006 highest ranked AHS horse in the young horse championships. Pablito himself was the IJF 2006 Young Jumpers leading AHS sire. More than 40 Pablito offspring have earned champion foal or mare titles at various inspections. Inspections champions include, EM Ping Pong R and Elite Eligible Princess Pei Pei R as well as EMC Pavillion R who received 9/9 for jumping and was MPT Champion. Pablito was a very happy talkative stallion, excited to come out but very gentle and respectful. He will be missed as a producer as he filled a needed gap. I will miss his smile, nicker, positive attitude, and being licked from top to bottom while waiting to collect him. Some frozen semen is available.
