Solière
Sandro Hit / Donnerhall / Einblick
Solière (Sandro Hit x Donnerhall) is an exceptional 16.3hh black Hanoverian stallion who has multiple approvals. Bred by Sandra Neff,(Ger) Solière was licensed in 2006 at Redefin, Germany. He represents the best of modern dressage breeding, carrying the brilliance of Sandro Hit through his sire line, and the influence of Donnerhall and the successful Fidermark line through his damline. His dam, Donatella, was awarded Elite Mare status, and his granddam, St. Pr. Elfe, produced the legendary stallion Fidermark, further cementing Solière’s place in a pedigree of champions.
Solière began his career under German rider Eva Möller, who guided him to numerous international successes. In 2008 at the World Championships for Young Horses in Verden, he won two classes for four-year-old stallions. In 2010, Solière captured two victories at the Hanoverian Riding Horse Championships in Verden before going on to become Vice Champion at the Bundeschampionat in Warendorf, where he scored eights for trot and canter, a nine for conformation, and an eight for overall presentation. That same year, Solière and Möller secured the silver medal at the World Breeding Dressage Championships for Young Horses with an outstanding overall score of 9.12, confirming his exceptional quality. Continuing his international career, Solière competed in the Small Tour at the CDI Fritzens in 2014 with Borja Carrascosa Martinez, placing fifth in the finale against some of the world’s leading combinations, including Steffen Peters with Rosamunde and Dorothee Schneider with Showtime FRH.
In the United States, Solière continued to shine as a championship partner for young rider, Katherine Mathews. With Mathews, he won the Reserve National Championship at the 2020 US Festival of Champions in the Young Rider division, earning an overall score of 70.809% and posting a decisive win in the Team Test with 72.157%. The pair represented Team USA on the 2021 Young Rider European Tour at the Festival of Champions in Hagen, Germany, where they brought home both a team bronze and an individual bronze medal. Later that summer, they won team gold at the North American Youth Championships in Traverse City, Michigan.
Pedigree
Solière is bred from dressage royalty on both sides. His sire Sandro Hit is one of the most influential dressage sires of the modern era, long ranked among the WBFSH’s leading stallions and responsible for record-breaking numbers of licensed sons and Olympic competitors, including Tokyo medalists Showtime FRH and Salvino. His influence at the Tokyo Olympic Games extended even further through a remarkable group of competing offspring and grand-offspring, including Sir Donnerhall II, Sanceo, Sambuca, Suppenkasper, Scolari, Sebastien, and Samhitas. Sandro Hit consistently produces brilliance, refinement, and expressive movement—qualities clearly reflected in Solière.
His dam Donatella, an Elite Mare, brings the power and prepotency of legendary Donnerhall, the stallion who shaped modern dressage breeding more than any other. Donnerhall’s hallmark traits—trainability, strength in collected work, and a remarkable work ethic—remain defining features of his descendants and are strongly present in Solière.
Further back, Solière draws from his Dam's damsire, the versatile Hanoverian stallion Einblick, a sire noted for producing both dressage and jumping talent and adding athleticism, soundness, and rideability to the line.
Soliere's damline is one of rare consistency and depth. Producing numerous elite competitors, championship horses, and influential sires, including:

Offspring
In 2024, Soliere was with us for freezing and at the time we shipped two shipments of fresh to two breeders which resulted in three foals. One foal for one breeder, Secret Keeper SGF (Soliere x Brianka SGF/Baroncelli) bred by Sandy Hunt was a Gold Medal foal with Hanoverian and two foals out of two different mares for breeder, Eowyn Brewer. Soliere’s first foals, display extreme quality and superb type. We are very excited at the prospect of producing some more high quality foals with Soliere as this is a unique and powerful opportunity for American breeders.
