Sonnenberg’s Jersey is a jet black 16.3hh, 2023 USDF National Champion, Fully Approved KWPN stallion, son of the legendary Preferent stallion Vivaldi and out of an impressively successful Dam line with Dam Sire Olympic Ferro. In 2023 Sonnenberg’s Jersey ranked #1 in the US at Prix St. George averaging 73.6% and was the US National Champion Developing Horse, Prix St. Georges, with Olympian Sabine Schut-Kery. This exciting couple is on their way to the big tour!

Jersey successfully passed his KWPN Stallion Test as a three-year-old and was fully approved for breeding.  Jersey was the price highlight at the KWPN Stallion Show Select Sale, purchased by Eric Koele of Stoeterij Turfhorst to be developed in sport.  KWPN Performance Test scores included Walk: 7.5, Trot: 8, Canter: 9, Elasticity: 8, Posture and Balance: 8.5, Ride-ability 8.5, Talent: 8.5.  Sonnenberg’s Jersey is fully approved KWPN, KWPN NA and Rhineland. Foals may be registered Hanoverian with Hanoverian approved mares. Additional options include Oldenburg, Westfalen and CWHBA (Canadian). Jersey will be presented for full Hanoverian approval in 2024.

Sire, Vivaldi Reserve Champion of his Performance Test and winner of the KWPN finals with a “10” trot score.  Vivaldi showed internationally successfully with Hans Peter Minderhoud and produced over 35 licensed sons and many internationally successful dressage offspring. Notable offspring include multiple mare show winners and grand prix horses, several placing in the World Cup and several sons in the top 3 at their respective registry licensing’s. Vivaldi shattered all existing sales records by selling a 2yr old, licensed son, Vivino, at the 2019 Hanoverian Stallion Auction for 2.01 million Euros.

Jersey’s Dam Kebalia is a top predicated KWPN mare (Keur, Preferent and Prestatie) from the successful and prolific Dutch “Balia Stam” mare line 34. She produced 5 offspring performing dressage at the highest national levels in the Netherlands and at Grand Prix dressage internationally as well as 5 top level jumpers. Kebalia is by the KWPN Preferent stallion Olympic Ferro, team silver, European and World cup finalist with Coby Van Baalen. Kebalia adds a dash of Thoroughbred blood, athleticism, versatility and top performing genetics to the mix. Sonnenberg's Jersey was her last and youngest offspring.

2021

- Represented Holland at the FEI WBFSH World Championships for young horses for 7-year-olds.

- Champion of the small final with a score of 75.95% with rider Kimberly Pap.

- ZZ-Heavy Champion at the Bonfix Dressuur Concours National Competition with rider Kimberly Pap.

- ZZ-Light Reserve Champion in Gelderland National Competition with rider Kimberly Pap.

2023

- Jersey ranked #1 in the US at Prix St. George averaging 73.6% and at Lamplight became the US National Champion Developing Horse Prix St. Georges with Sabine Schut-Kery.

Sonnenberg’s Jersey was chosen for the 2024 Kundren USEF Dressage Development Program and is being developed for a Grand Prix career with Olympian Sabine Schut-Kery.  His piaffe and passage will be one of the highlights when he competes in the big tour.
